Hi Everyone!

I've just joined this Blog, so thought I'd tell you something about myself:
My name is Lynn, and I'm a 40-something Primary School Teacher and Guide Guider.  I am married with 3 'grown up' children of 21, 20 and 17.  I have been stitching for more than 24 years, and I have a blog here, where I show my progress on my WIPs and UFOs and chat about life in general.

My Buttons n Thimble exchange. What a beautiful pouch lined with felt. The colors are fabulous and the buttons way too cute, I just love them. I love the design from San Man Originals "Funky Flowers", a fabulous finish with a ribbon sewed on the back that says "Stitched by Elisa".

Valentines Exchange Rec'd

Rec'd my Valentines Exchange from Vivian the other day. Sorry as am a bit late posting. I LOVE what she made for me and have it hanging up in a special wall area of my sewing room. She also added in a small wooden needle holder as well as her post card from sunny Florida!

Strange...

For some reason I have been unable to comment on posts despite being a member of the blog so thought I would make a post instead.

I'm a little worried about my Valentine's Exchange piece as it has now been 2 weeks since I mailed it.

Also I would like to join in the Buttons & Thimbles exchange, although don't have a chart as yet, I love the theme though!

Think that's it, also looking forward to seeing what everyone has stitched for the Valentines Exchange.

SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN…

The theme for this exchange is buttons n thimble. You must have a thimble and buttons somewhere in the exchange, on your design or included in the package. No extras unless it is buttons or thimbles. The usual rules apply for the exchange, an item must be stitched and finished (I thought a pocket or pouch would be a great finish but I leave that up to everyone’s creativity, as long as it is finished).

For the Buttons n Thimble Pocket exch...sign up by 31^st January, 2011. Partners will be emailed to you by Feb 2^nd, 2011 and stitched piece to be mailed out by 1^st March 2011.
